Basic Info BioIf you're looking for witty comments or sharp insight, abandon this ship now. I got nothin'.
I have my fingers in a lot of pies. Uni life and the bullshit of academia, various sporting/musical pursuits, writing and reading and sometimes participating in an online fandom world that until recently, I didn't even know existed.
The saying that my eyes are bigger than my stomach pretty much describes my life. You could say that I have more pies than fingers, really. Sometimes this leads to moments of brilliance under pressure, but mostly it ends in tears, or caffeine-and-stress-induced ranting. I am so far utterly incapable of uncomplicating my life. ;)
I have a tendency to be highly unmotivated, and it makes for fairly sporadic updates, fic-wise. This pisses people off, for some reason. On the sliding scale from insight to babble, I suspect I sit somewhere toward the bottom.
I've been writing music for as long as I can remember, and fic for a couple of months now (other than a forgettable foray into the HP world back in '03). I'd like to think there was poetry in my soul but a lot of my writing comes from dark places, and there's not much poetry there at all.
Sometimes I feel like I'm not really here.
I love thoughtful reviews and if I like something I'll always leave a comment saying so. I'm pretty selective with what I read and what I review, and I don't mean that in a 'high-horse' kind of way.
I'm a little bit in love with the idea of having a 'secret identity', because my two worlds are very separate. Sometimes I wish I was more outspoken, more confident, more coherant. I wish I were a lot of things. Sadly, I'm not, but i'm learning to deal.
